Carrer de Muntaner, 55, 08011 Barcelona

BierCab has 30 taps of craft beer from breweries around Europe. That’s right, 30 beers on tap! That is definitely the winner of this list. This place has its own shop next door where they sell a lot of craft beer (lots of them are already in the fridges). So, don’t forget to bring a shopping bag with you.

Burger & Beer Pairing at BierCaB:

To go with your beer, you can get some tapas or a burger. The burgers are named after the different districts of Barcelona: Poble Nou (pork, bacon, Havarti cheese), Eixample (provolone, jamón, and a fried egg), Gracia (4 cheese), Raval (Roquefort, Gouda, caramelized onion), etc.
We recommend the Poble Nou with a light, crisp and clean beer to pair with the delicious Havarti cheese.

Garage Beer Co

Carrer del Consell de Cent, 261, 08011 Barcelona

This Taproom proposes both their own brew as well as other beers from breweries. They have a dozen beers on tap with a great variety of products (IPA, DIPA, sour, gose and imperial stout and even a “soup” beer). It’s situated in a very cool location in Eixample (with other bars and restaurants nearby too) about a 10-minute walk from the Universitat metro station. The bar has a menu showcasing some tapas and burgers (pulled pork, Thai chicken, porchetta, etc…). This microbrewery’s equipment is located right at the back of the bar. It is well worth a visit for real craft beer fans.

Burger & Beer Pairing at Garage Beer Co:

Try the pulled pork burger at Garage Beer Co! This burger pairs best with a light, crisp and clean beer like Garage Beer Co’s Bag Handler Pale Ale.

There are 11 burgers on the menu to pick from amongst the “Melty”, the “Roquefort”, the “Monkey burger” or the “Philippine fried chicken”. The buns are homemade as well as the patatas bravas. But beware, the portions are huge!

Carrer de les Basses de Sant Pere, 10, 08003 Barcelona

Ale&Hop is one of those new trendy craft beer/vegan places. It is located off the beaten track in a little charming square at the entrance of El Born. The place is quite small but the atmosphere is cool and casual. There are always around 10 craft beers on tap. A good selection of IPAs, ales, Weissbier, Porter, etc. and a lot of bottles in the fridges as well. But Ale&Hop is also a restaurant. Most of the food is vegan (they also have gluten-free options). So, all of the 4 burgers here are vegan: the lentil burger, the Mexican burger, the beetroot & chickpea burger and the pulled “pork” burger. The food prices range between €1.5 and €8. Truly is a hidden gem.

Burger & Beer Pairing AT Ale&Hop:

We dare you to try the delicious pulled “pork” burger. A beer with fruit and spice flavours, like a hefeweizen, will complement the faux pork flavours.

Craft Barcelona

Carrer del Paradís, 4, 08002 Barcelona

This place is a little hard to find since it is up to a very small pedestrian street, but it’s well worth it. The area (in the heart of the Gothic quarter next to Plaça Jaume) is touristic but it doesn’t negatively influence the atmosphere of this place. At Craft Barcelona, you’ll find 16 craft ales on tap for every taste. They offer a free tasting for as many as you care to try. You can have delicious pinchos (tapas with a stick) to pick yourself from the bar for only €1.50.

Here, the burgers also have beer names! You’ll be able to choose between the IPA (beef, cheese, caramelized onion and tartare sauce), Porter (beef, bacon cheese, crispy onion and mustard), Lager (beef, Brie cheese) or even Stout (beef, red and green pepper). Yes, those are burgers!

Burger & Beer Pairing at Craft Barcelona:

All these burgers sound as delicious as their names! We recommend trying the Porter burger and pairing it with, you guessed it, a Porter! Or any other dark and roasty beer.

Barcelona Beer Company

Carrer de Muntaner, 7, 08011 Barcelona

This Taproom located next to Plaça Universitat mostly showcases their own production. The beers have fun names like Cerdos Voladores (“Flying pigs”), La niña Barbuda (“the bearded girl”), Miss Hops or Piquenbauer (in reference of the football player). You’ll actually be able to find those beers in supermarkets around town. One of the great things is that you can order a “flight” of 4 little glasses (12cl) for only €8. A good idea if you want to try many of them at the same time.

Burger & Beer Pairing at Barcelona Beer Company:

We recommend trying their house burger with the Big Bear Pale Ale by Barcelona Beer Company.

Carrer de Ramon Turró, 180, 08005 Barcelona

Hoppiness is located in Poble Nou which is a bit off the beaten track but easily accessed by metro. It has lots of beautifully tasting craft beers to choose from, including 12 on tap that are changing often. It’s more of a bar than a restaurant, you have the choice of 10 burgers (beef, pork, chicken classic, chicken Thai, vegetarian…). Prices range from €8.50 to €12.50.

Beer & Burger Pairing at Hoppiness

We recommend trying the Thai Chicken Burger and pairing it a full, yeasty beer like a hefeweizen or a Saison.

La Cerveseria Clandestina

Carrer de Còrsega, 611, 08025 Barcelona

This is the perfect place to go to after visiting the Sagrada Familia. It’s only 2 blocks away and yet not many tourists go that far. La Cerveseria Clandestina has around 10 beers on tap and a great selection of craft beer bottles from all over the world. And the food? The menu showcases around 20 different burgers (5 of them vegetarian) and lots of sandwiches and tapas. Overall, the prices here are quite cheap for Barcelona standards.

Last but not least, Cat Bar CAT is a vegan restaurant that offers 5 great vegan burgers to its customers. The patties are made of nuts, seeds, hemp or beans. The burgers come with or without their nice and crispy patatas bravas. The restaurant is decorated in a bohemian style cafe. There’s even a piano in the middle for people to pop in and play if they feel like.

On the beer side, there are 8 craft beers on tap ranging from local Pale Ales, IPAs, Wheat beers and even gluten-free beers. The place is also very well located in the Gothic quarter next to Jaume I metro station.
