It’s no secret that the craft beer industry is booming in Calgary, Alberta right now. But YEG isn’t far behind with eight new breweries that opened in 2018 and even more opening up in 2019. K-Days is even planning to have a large selection of local, craft beer for sale!
Because the beer scene in Alberta is continuing to grow, and progress, now is the perfect time to explore the breweries in Edmonton. Find your new favourite brew, learn something about your city, and potentially make a friend — here are ten breweries in Edmonton you need to visit.
10 Must-See Edmonton (& Area) Breweries
Alley Kat
Alley Kay is Edmonton’s original craft brewery that started in 1995. They brew flavourful tasty craft beer in south YEG. Alley Kat has such a large variety of brews, anything from a grapefruit ale to a New England IPA.

Analog Brewing
Analog Brewing is a new brewery in Edmonton. They focus on making easy-drinking, delicious, sessionable brews. Analog Brewing is founded by nerds who love sci-fi, vintage video games, and board games.

Blind Enthusiasm Brewing Company
Based in Edmonton, Blind Enthusiasm has two ambitious breweries and one inventive restaurant located in the heart of the Ritchie Market. Blind Enthusiasm’s neighbourhood brewery at the Ritchie Market is embedded directly into their restaurant, Biera. Along with Biera, Blind Enthusiasm Brewing also features The Monolith. The Monolith features a brewery and barrelhouse designed from the ground up to create barrel-aged sour beers via spontaneous fermentation.
Endeavour Brewing Company
The brewery at Endeavour Brewing has a 15 HL brewhouse, a four fermenter cellar, a canning line and a modern tasting room. The gang at Endeavour want their customers to feel as though they are part of the process, thus the entire brewhouse and cellar are visible, allowing customers to see the equipment and the process.

Jasper Brewing Company
Even though it’s about a 4-hour drive from Edmonton to Jasper Brewing, JBC is way too iconic to leave from this list. Jasper Brewing’s dedicated Brewmasters use time-tested recipes and brewing methods in their in-house brewery. If you’re looking for a chill (but fun) atmosphere on a Saturday night, pack up the car and head over to Jasper Brewing Company.
Omen Brewing
After opening in Edmonton’s Brewery District in 2018, Omen Brewing is a family owned and operated brewery that focuses on providing full-flavoured handcrafted beer for the hard working beer-loving Albertan.

Polar Park Brewing
Although Polar Park Brewing is not actually open yet this brewery is one to look for. Polar Park is a Canadian Arctic oriented micro-brewery located just a few blocks south of Whyte Ave. Mark your calendars because Polar Park is set to open June/July 2019.
Rural Routes Brewing Company

Situation Brewing
