As the end of the year approaches, it’s the perfect time to start planning your bucket list. Obviously, the items on your bucket list should consist of beer attractions, activities and experiences, right?

Durango Brew Train

Do you like beer and beautiful scenery? And we’re not just talking about your regular ol’ hike! Durango and Silverton Brew Train is a historic narrow gauge train that takes you on a beertastic experience from Rockwood Station to Cascade Canyon. The train ride features tasting and some education from brewmasters all while enjo While at Cascade Canyon, guests will enjoy lunch, live music and more beer. During the return trip to Rockwood, dessert and coffee will be served. These are adult only trains. Everyone must be 21+ with valid ID.

Czech Republic isn’t just know for their Pilsners! “Beer spas” are a popular tourist attraction where you can feel rejuvenated with beer ingredients. Waking up in a brewery sounds like a dream! The DogHouse Hotels and Kennels Hotels are the world’s first chain of craft beer hotels created by BrewDog. The boutique hotel features a huge brewery, fascinating beer museum and incorporates beer in every aspect from the decor to the aromas. “From your room, you can see, hear and smell our sour beer feeders and take it all in.” The brewery says on their website. “Head down for a beer-paired breakfast. Spend time reading the latest brewing books. Even sit back with a draft beer poured from your room’s very own BrewDog tap.” That’s a beercation you’ll never want to leave!

 

Sea to Sky Gondola Tour

Okay, so this one isn’t entirely about beer, but it features some of the best craft beers that British Columbia has to offer, whilst enjoying incredible scenery. This gondola/BC tour features stops at Shannon Falls, the third tallest waterfall in BC and a ride on the Sea to Sky Gondola, which reaches heights of 885 meters above sea level. “You will be treated to a splendid view of Howe Sound area and surrounding coastal mountains, which will certainly take your breath away.” according to the Sea to Sky website. “We end our Squamish visit with a craft beer tasting at one of the local’s favorite breweries.” A must see? We think so!

Thermal Beer Spa in Budapest gives a unique “beer bath” experience incorporating beer ingredients! “The Bath Master will show you the dry ingredients: hops, malt, yeast and a beer salt that are added to your wooden bathtub filled with 36 degree hot medicinal water.” The spa says on their website, “The hops are probably the most well known ingredient of beer so it’s no surprise that this is the one that relaxes you.” The ingredients are said to have beneficial effects on the skin, immune system, blood circulation, and even helps treat sleeping disorders.*

The Houston home has since become a popular beer monument where beer lovers can go and walk through the home on guided tours. You know we couldn’t leave the world’s largest Volksfest out of this list! The German folk festival has an average of 6 million people in attendance every year, all coming together to enjoy a ton of beer! (And rides, food and so much more.)
