REVIEW: Bowen Island Brewing, Adventure Pack
These Bowen Island Brewery beer reviews are the last of the Beer Maven’s summer series called “Patio Crushables”. Does that mean summer is ending? BOO! Well… good thing we still have beer.

Freestone Summer Ale 5% abv
*Warning this beer could become an addiction. A Belgian style wheat beer brewed with peaches & apricots. The aroma is fresh peach all the way with apricot making a strong supporting act. Best enjoyed cold on a hot summers day in a mason jar with a slice of peach.
Reef Break 5% abv
The can says ‘If it were anymore BC it would be illegal’ . The flavour is there with a light infusion of hemp. This barely legal beer is light and crushable for days. ‘Do you even drink bruh ?’
Deep 6 Lager 5% abv
A full mouthfeel lager with medium maltiness & hops. Tastes like the ocean. Best enjoyed on a beach or while dreaming of one.
Artisan IPA 5.5% abv
The pour is a toasty golden colour with a decent head that lingers. I love the carbonation in this IPA and enjoy the hard-hitting hops from the first sip. The finish is more grapefruit than hops and is quick to take over once you swallow.

REVIEW: Hell’s Basement Brewing
Hell’s Basement has recently opened its doors in Medicine Hat, Alberta. I have tried 5 of their recent craft beers and the following are my two favorites.
TOUR: Phillips Brewery
Being an avid fan of Phillips Beer since I first tried their killer Amnesiac Double IPA I was psyched at getting the chance to see where many of my favorite beers like the Longboat Chocolate Porter, 3rd Blind Mouse and Electric Unicorn were born.
Bobby’s Place, Olde World Tavern
Are you looking to bring a bit of the Scottish Olde World into your life? Well I’ve found it at Bobby’s Place.
