beer + vacation = beercation
A beercation is simply a trip, holiday, or vacation that is based around beer, breweries and beer activities and events. A beer vacation.
4 Must-Visit Canadian Cities for Beer-Lovers
Calgary, Alberta
The craft beer industry is at an all-time high right now in Calgary, Alberta, which means there are always a handful of beer events and beer activities happening around the city. If an organized beer event isn’t your thing, hit up Eighty-Eight Brewing Co. for a cool atmosphere and fresh pizza. After that, head over to Cold Garden Beverage Company for a pint with your dog by your side.
There are three different booze cruise beer bike companies in Calgary, and lucky for you, AGLC just approved the act of serving and consuming alcohol on party bike tours. If you’re in the Stampede City for the first weekend of May, be sure to hit up the Calgary International Beerfest hosted by Alberta Beer Festivals.
Did we mention that Calgary has a craft beer hotel currently in the works?
Toronto, Ontario
If you’re planning a trip to Toronto, Ontario make sure to check out The Beer Bus, located roughly two-hours north. The Beer Bus offers local beer, wine and cider tours and provides everything you’ll need, including transportation, essential beer facts, and onboard snacks and refreshments. After your tour check out Bellwoods Brewery for a pint of their Jelly King Sour Ale.
Steam Whistle also just opened an ultimate German Biergärten, where you can sip on some crisp Steam Whisle brews and munch on amazing German-inspired food.
