Calgary Is Getting Canada’s First Craft Beer Themed Hotel
Beer, bed, and brunch. Can you think of a better trio? The Drinkle will be Calgary, Alberta’s first craft beer hotel.

Calgary is getting its first themed hotel and guess what – it’s Craft Beer themed.
Calgary is not only about Stampede or a brief stop on the way to the mountains. With craft beer events happening almost daily in Calgary, The Drinkle Hotel encourages you to stay awhile and experience this amazing beer community.
Calgary’s First Themed Hotel: The Drinkle Craft Beer Hotel
In August 2018, the world’s first Craft Beer hotel opened in Ohio. That same concept is making its way to Canada, starting in Calgary, Alberta. With a rapidly growing craft beer scene in Calgary, “The Drinkles”, a beer-loving husband and wife, believe it is time to create a space for people who enjoy beer exploration! The Drinkles are aiming to create The Drinkle Craft Beer Hotel, a hotel where each room matches a Calgary brewery theme and guests can choose different brewery experiences and tours. With a variety of tour options available, The Drinkle Hotel wants be the epicenter of Craft Beer Tourism in Calgary.
The Drinkle’s Hotel Vision: Stay, and Experience Calgary’s Craft Beer Scene
Guests will arrive to a selection of craft brews to sample from in the small welcome area. They will then immerse themselves in everything craft beer, from soaps made with locally produced beers, charcuterie boards, and snack pairings created by local artisans, to special events and discounts at partner breweries. Breakfast/Brunch vouchers will be offered for guests to experience even more of the local breweries and restaurants that are partnered with the hotel.
When is The Drinkle Hotel opening in Calgary?
As of January 2019, the owners of The Drinkle Hotel are still unsure when their hotel idea will come to life. We’ve learned via Facebook, that they are still in search for the perfect location. Once they find it, they will have a better idea of when The Drinkle Hotel will open. Stay tuned YYC!
The Crowd Funding Campaign:

Rachel Drinkle of The Drinkle Craft Beer Hotel has started up a crowd funding campaign in order to get the process of opening a craft beer hotel started! Contributing to the campaign shows a market interest and creates even more momentum for this idea to start becoming a reality. When donating to the campaign, there are several “rewards” you can receive in return. These rewards include:
$20 for a Drinkleing Adventure
Every $20 contribution will have your name entered to win the ultimate night out with the Drinkle’s on a Drinkleing adventure. All expenses paid as we cavort about town on a brewery tour extraordinaire!
$100 for a one night stay for 2 at The Drinkle Craft Beer Hotel
Contribute $100 and receive a one night stay at The Drinkle Craft Beer Hotel. Conditions: Accepted during non peak times. Sept-May any year the hotel is open. *Not good for the first week of opening.
$200 for a Canadian craft tour
As partners with the Drinkle Craft Beer Hotel, Canadian Craft Beer Tours is offering a $100 gift certificate for a tour at any of their locations in Canada.
$400 for a Drinkle Experience #1
A night for 2 at the Drinkle Craft Beer Hotel including a tour with a 15 person bicycle bike tour from Canadian Craft Tours. This tour is on a 15 person bike with a bar in the middle that will escort you to different breweries in Calgary. All hotel stays include a brunch and an Uber code to get you back to the hotel safely.
$700 for a Drinkle Experience #2
This experience for two people includes a night in one of our theme rooms, Canadian Craft brewery bus tour, and brunch.
$2000 for an exclusive first stay at The Drinkle Craft Beer Hotel
If you donate $2000, you can be the VERY first person to stay at The Drinkle Craft Beer Hotel! This ultimate Drinkle experience for 4 will include a one night stay for up to 4 people, a brewery bus tour, brunch at a partner restaurant, complimentary beverages upon arrival, and the historical honour of saying you stayed the very first night at the very first Drinkle Craft Beer Hotel. You will even be provided with a certificate to frame!
