- 2/3 cup beer
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp cilantro
- pinch of cayenne pepper
- 1 lb raw shrimp (peeled)
- cooked rice for serving
- In a large skillet, heat the oil and butter until melted. Add onion and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
- Add the beer, tomato paste, sweet chili sauce, and cilantro. Bring to a boil. If you want more heat, add a few pinches of cayenne pepper.
- Once boiling, add the shrimp in a single layer without crowding the pan. Cook for 3 minutes. Flip then cook another 3 minutes or until the shrimp is pink, cooked through, and curled up.
- Serve on top of rice.

Guinness Bacon Cheeseburgers
No, the burgers won’t give you a buzz—there’s about half a cup in the patties—but enough to give that umami char burger thing a bit more juicy awesomeness. Top it with bacon and some sharp Irish cheddar and fortify your stomach for a day of…revelry.
Caramel Apple Beer Bread
Damn this bread for being so easy and far more than worth the “effort” it takes.
English Pub Toffee
A tasty snack to munch on while watching your favourite sports team and drinking your favourite beer.
