The Blind Date That Worked
From the first time we met in the form of a Big Rock Dunkelweizen, I knew we’d be together forever!

I have to thank Just Beer and Calgary for setting me up on the most successful blind date I’ve ever been on. It seems craft beer and I were just waiting to be introduced and it was love at first sip.
I grew up in Quebec and lived in Israel for 12 years of my adult life, but the beers I’d been exposed to were the mass produced kind that I felt no connection with. Now working for Just Beer and living in Calgary, I’ve been exposed to a whole new world that I never knew existed; Craft Beer. And I have to say:
I’m sad I didn’t know about craft beer before because I feel that I missed out on trying some great local beers both where I lived and during my travels abroad. My darkest confession: I was in Berlin and didn’t have beer, so sad, so sad. Although, in all fairness, the industry was not as developed then as it is now, so I’ll have to wait for my next visit and explore the scene a little more with my new-found knowledge.
So, thanks Calgary and Just Beer for the introduction! I look forward to the many hoppy years we’ll spend together (sorry, couldn’t help myself).
