The 2022 Super Bowl is right around the corner and it’s time to pick out our watch party location, game day snacks, and most importantly, half-time show beers. Don’t worry, we’ve got you for every touchdown, quarter and happy dance– but first, let’s fill you in on what we know about the Super Bowl as of right now:
When is the Super Bowl 2022?
Super Bowl LVI will take place on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at 6:30pm EST– so, if you’ve got some Valentine’s Day plans, be sure to add “Super Bowl Watch Party” to the itinerary.

Currently, we know it’s between 4 teams. According to Life and Style Magazine, “On January 30, the Cincinnati Bengals will travel to take on the Kansas City Chiefs,” says the site, “The San Francisco 49ers will play the Los Angeles Rams for the NFC Championship.” The winners of each of these games will take on each other at the Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California.
Who is performing at the Super Bowl LVI halftime show?
Possibly the most important information of the night, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar will be performing at the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show.
Now, let’s get into the beers!
As always, this article is for entertainment purposes only and we always encourage you to drink in moderation and most importantly, drink responsibly.
To make this a little more fun (and manageable), try creating a beer flight with samples of each of the types of beers/profiles for your game day party! Be sure to keep a glass of water within reach to cleanse your palate in between beer styles!
Super Bowl Pre-game Beer: Crisp and Clean
Let’s start the game off with a crisp and clean beer for good luck.
Game Day Kick-off Beer: Fruit and & Spice
First kick-off! Let’s try a fruit and spice beer.
Touch-down beer: Dark and Roasty
Score! Take a sip of your dark and roasty beer. Something to put some hair on your chest.
Okay, this isn’t a beer, but you can get a sparkling/carbonated water to make it seem like it! Cleanse your palate at every quarter.
Penalty Beer: Hoppy & Bitter
If your team received a penalty– it’s a hoppy and bitter beer for you!
Half-Time Beer: Your favourite beer style!
Enjoy the halftime show with your favourite beer profile. Not sure what your favourite profile or style of beer is? Learn how to pick a beer you’ll love.
Win: Malty & Sweet
Take a chug of something sweet, just like that win!
Loss: Sour, Tart and Funky
If your team takes a loss this year, a beer to match how you feel might do the trick. Try something a lil sour. We’ll get ’em next time, boys!
Since football only offers 10 minutes in overtime, you have 10 minutes to chug an intense, smoky beer. A beer to match the suspense.
