I’m one of the worst cooks in the world (my brother, the chef, got all the cooking genes). Well it’s not that I’m a bad cook, I just have no patience. I always feel like I should be doing something else, so I multi-task and end up burning things.
When a recent invite mix up found me having 15 dinner guests instead of the intended six, well obviously I panicked. I hit Just Beer to find some easy and delicious recipes. Guess what? I found them!! Crock Pot BBQ Chicken
and Beer Can Chicken.
Not only did my house smell beertastic, but I got rave reviews from all.
For a quick, easy and tasty side dish wrap a sweet potato in aluminum foil and bake it in the oven next to the chicken. When cooked through simply slice and serve. It’s natural sweetness comes shining through, no additions necessary (this was a family favorite at my Grandma’s house).
Moral of the Story:
Don’t invite dinner guests via text messages which may or may not come through and make sure you confirm everything by actually speaking to someone.
Just Beer recipes are proven delicious and can save your social life.

REVIEW: National Beer Hall
It’s no surprise that National Beer Hall was voted one of the best pubs in Calgary. With 4 locations, each with it’s own vibe, but the common denominator of good food and great beer. Check’em out and see which one is your favourite.
Women & Beer in Alberta
My beer brothers and sisters, did you know that in Alberta there was a time that it was illegal for men and women to sit and have drink together in a bar? Luckily, we have crossed that road. The next road we need to cross…getting more women into the industry. Any ideas?
The Blind Date That Worked
From the first time we met in the form of a Big Rock Dunkelweizen, I knew we’d be together forever!
The Beer Maids and Beer Waiters of Oktoberfest
The Beer Maids and Beer Waiters at Oktoberfest are among the best in the world after all in order to even get the job they need to be able to carry at least 10 steins (those massive beer mugs) at a time.
This Ain’t Your Father’s Beer
OK, so maybe it is your father’s beer. Brewing beer was originally done in-house. Each household/farm made their own beer especially in Europe, but these beer companies still remain family owned and operated. Celebrate Father’s Day by checking out some beers by these great family breweries.
