About Abel Turcault by Microbrasserie de L'ile d'Orleans
Strong caramelized and smoked Scotch Ale.
A Scottish-inspired, caramelized and smoked brown beer, the Abel Turcault. A farmer, he was also a miller for the owner of Île d'Orléans. Two jobs rather than one ... in 1668! A mad person? No, an enthusiast who earned the rare and prestigious title of master flour.
Brewed with a good dose of caramelized malts, the Abel Turcault is rich in residual sugars which gives it a lot of flavors and roundness in the mouth. Roasted and smoked malts bring an aromatic complexity reminiscent of a good Scotch.
