Barley Wine by Granville Island Brewing in British Columbia, Canada

About Barley Wine by Granville Island Brewing

The typical Barley Wine may find its origins in English Ale, but there’s nothing typical about this special brew. You can even cellar and enjoy it for up to five years. But if that’s too long to wait, you can always try it tonight. Aged in bourbon barrels, it boasts strong caramel malt character, vanilla and oak flavours with a healthy dosage of Pacific Northwest hops.

The strength and intense flavours are a match for strong cheeses like Stilton.

In 1984 something happened that forever changed the local beer industry: Granville Island Brewing opened the doors to Canada’s first microbrewery. And in doing so, we opened hearts and minds to a whole new beer drinking experience.
