This special version of O.T.'s Hack Weight Imperial Stout was aged in Booker's bourbon barrels across four seasons in 2019. During this time, they employed a winemaking technique to the aging process known as the "ouillé" method, or making sure the barrels were regularly topped up with fresh beer to minimize oxidization. Over the course of the year, Barrel Aged Hack Weight has mellowed from its original iteration into something unique with notes of brownie batter, vanilla cigar, and liqueur-filled chocolates. They also added a tasteful amount of whole Tahitian vanilla beans prior to blending. It was totally nerve-wracking and tremendously exciting to follow this beer as it aged; they hope you enjoy drinking it as much as they enjoyed making it.
