Made by Black Isle Brewery
Black Isle was started by David Gladwin in 1998. An unemployed beer lover, he set out to make world-class beer using barley and hops, grown on organic farms, without the use of destructive chemicals.
Being perfectly placed in the Highlands, home to some of the world’s best distilleries, it’s been a natural step towards barrel aged beer. Having evolved this line since 2012, this year saw the release of our East and West Coast Series, using Oatmeal Stout aged in Scottish Whisky casks to create a deep, rich flavour and deliciously decadent mouthfeel. Having waited nine months for this second batch, it’s out now on limited release.
