Bedrock Brown Ale by Mill Street Brewery in Ontario, Canada

About Bedrock Brown Ale by Mill Street Brewery

This traditional northern English-style “nut brown” ale is a dark and slightly stronger version of the classic mild ales made in the Midlands. It is made with 5 malts including caramel, biscuit and chocolate malts as well as roast barley. The result in a chestnut coloured beer with a rich malt palate made up of a pronounced caramel/toasted ovaltine-y flavour that is balanced with a blend of English and American hops to keep it from being cloying. It has a really smooth flavour and balance that makes this one that you can drink all night long! Named after the limestone bedrock that our brewpub in Ottawa sits upon on the shore of the Ottawa River!
