Captain Cooper's Cranberry Ale by Trading Post Brewing in British Columbia, Canada

About Captain Cooper's Cranberry Ale by Trading Post Brewing

Captain James Cooper was an HBC employee who was involved in the cranberry trade. Cooper fell out of favor with HBC after violating company regulations by trading goods on his own account. In 1849, he decided to leave the company and emigrated to Vancouver Island as a free settler.

Brewed with tart local cranberries, this American style wheat ale features a medium malt body with notes of citrus and fresh tart cranberries. Kettle soured with Lactobacillus and fermented with 100% Brettanomyces, this clean, crisp beer is refreshing and delicious.
