Citeaux is a coffee oatmeal stout brewed in collaboration with Baton Rouge’s newest coffee roaster, Cafeciteaux. The rich coffee flavors abound with notes of chocolate and toffee to produce a smooth brew that’s sure to peak your senses.

America’s founding fathers quickly recognized the goodness in both coffee and beer. Thomas Jefferson once said that coffee is the favorite drink of the civilized world and Benjamin Franklin stated, “Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.” Southern Craft Brewing thought it was only natural to combine the two.

Southern Craft's process to crafting this brew begins with roasted, toasted and caramel malts to impart a robust creamy, cocoa taste. Then, they combine it with Cafeciteaux coffee. Their coffee beans are locally roasted by hand just hours before they reach the stout to ensure the perfect blend of flavor and aroma.
