Convict Hill Stout by Independence Brewing Company in Texas, United States

About Convict Hill Stout by Independence Brewing Company

Convict Hill Stout pours a deep obsidian color with a thick, creamy head. Flaked oats create a rich, creamy body that tempers the bitter roasted barley flavors of this robust, heady ale. The name Convict Hill Stout was inspired by Convict Hill in southwest Austin, where limestone was quarried for the Texas capitol building.

Armed with their love of beer, an intrepid spirit, the support of their friends and their trusty dog Jasper, Rob and Amy Cartwright founded Independence Brewing Company. What started with a married couple and their dog, has blossomed into a crew of nine and a community of beer drinkers who enjoy drinking fresh, handcrafted beer.
