The Dampfbier is a farm beer from the Black Forest region of Bavaria. Farmers produced it using barley, which was inexpensive compared to wheat, and weizen yeast, which was available in large quantities in the region. It is fermented at high temperature, as at the time, which gives it a lot of fruity aromas.
