Made by Picaroons Traditional Ales
Located in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Picaroons Traditional Ales, brews traditional British-style ales using malted barley, hops, Ringwood yeast, & water!
This was first brewed in 2006 as a winter organic beer to complement our Organic Dooryard Summer Ale. It is a recipe that was partially designed with the Weyerman Brewery in Bramburg. It was so popular that it made it into the full-time lineup. This beer is not based on the rum cocktail, but rather a line from Edward Bulwer-Lytton’s 1830 novel Paul Clifford. For literary beer fans out there, check out the The Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest. *Label Drawing by Tom Giberson
