In the French speaking region of Belgium known as Wallonia, in the spirit of waving goodbye to the Winter and saying hello to the Spring, forward thinking brewers concocted a beer that was designed to reward the farm hands for a job well done with a light and refreshing malted beverage known as the “saison.”
