About High Country Ale by Rig Hand Distillery
The beer pours with a bright white head topping a golden ale with moderate carbonation. The aroma is a blend of classic fruity English yeast esters and rich malt, reminiscent of biscuit. Hop aroma is present but subdued. Taking a sip, gentle but complex English style hops jump out but dissolve quickly into a biscuity and sweet mid palate and light caramel on the finish. This ain't a West Coast Pale Ale, or a New England Pale Ale. High Country Pale Ale is a little piece of Kent in the heart of Alberta.
