Made by Black Cloister Brewing Company
The idea for Black Cloister Brewing Company was born from a trio of inspirations: a love of great beer, a desire to build community in Toledo, and a wish to give back.
Hildegard of Bilgen was a Benedictine Abbess and noted herbalist. Her writings in 1150 AD include the earliest mention of using hops in beer. This Berliner Weisse pays tribute to this visionary. Slightly tart and very refreshing this beer pleases with a taste of lemon and fresh bread.
