Holy Smoke Rauchweizen

Alberta, Canada
5.4% ABV • IBU 19

Part of the Oliver Square Small Batch Rotational Series, Holy Smoke is a Bavarian specialty beer which is still brewed in the City of Bamberg. It’s similar to a Dunkelweizen but most of the wheat malt has been cold smoked with oak. A modest amount of Oak smoke introduces this beer to your nose followed by a light to moderate wheat aroma intermingled with light to moderate weizen yeast aromatics (spicy clove and fruity esters of banana) and a rich maltiness..

Overall Impression: A dunkelweizen made oak smoked wheat, but with a greater body and light finishing hops.
