Horse Tongue Wheat by Anderson Valley Brewing Company in California, United States

About Horse Tongue Wheat by Anderson Valley Brewing Company

Fermented with Belgian yeast, this unique wheat beer undergoes a secondary fermentation with the Horse Tongue Wheat culture (a blend of pediococcus damnosus, lactobacillus, brettanomyces, and wild yeasts.) After six months in stainless steel tanks, it is then transferred to wine barrels for maturation and aging.  Hints of pineapple and lemon and a slight woodiness lead to a dry lemony finish. Enjoy one fresh or lay it down for several months and let the brett character mature and develop.

Anderson Valley Brewing Company was founded on December 26th, 1987 in the town of Boonville, CA.
