Yellowbelly's first lager has hit the taps. It is a 6% ABV Fest Bier. Made with Pilsen, Munich and Vienna malts and hopped with Styrian goldings and Saphir, it is balanced and smooth. The bitterness is about 28 IBU's. It has been lagering for a month.
The noble hop character complements the malt base. The particular lager yeast strain was, I believe, a great choice.
This beer screams the word lager. Loudly and proudly.
It is light amber in colour and it's a quaffer. Lighter in body than any of our ales. Mind yourselves.
