Pic-A-Nic Basket is a fruited saison blended with a portion of barrel-fermented sour beer. To this base brewers added a whole bunch of tart cherries, sweet cherries, and rhubarb. Sounds like a delicious pie filling, which made Fair State think about smarter-than-average bears, which led to the name. Tart, lightly funky, dry, but bursting with fruit flavor, Pic-A-Nic Basket is a real drinking sour beer.
Tasting Notes: Dry, rustic, farmhouse esters, tart, rhubarb and cherry, spritzy.
