Red Ensign by Mill Street Brewery in Ontario, Canada

About Red Ensign by Mill Street Brewery

Raspberry wheat beers mean a lot to Mill Street's Brewmaster, Joel. When big events happen, he brews this style of beer to celebrate. When Joel got married in 1991, he brewed one. When he took over as brewmaster of Mill Street in 2007, he brewed another one. For Canada’s 150th birthday this year, Joel has designed Red Ensign. It is named after the original flag of Canada at the time of Confederation and nothing could be more emotive with it comes to the birth of our nation than our flag. This beer is made with malt from the Prairies, hops from Ontario, and raspberries from BC so it represents our country from many points of view.
