The mixture makes it: Three different malt and two Hopfensorten from the region are used. Special, longer "dyed" malt provide for the red, dark color. The malt is dried at high temperatures after the germ process. The higher the temperature, the darker the malt becomes. Schanzenbräu Rotbier is sub-fermented, unfiltered, full-bodied and well-hatched. The original wort is 11.9% and the alcohol content is 4.9%. Brewed according to Bavarian purity.
