This beer is like a great big hug from Scotland. Wingback chairs, crackling fires, oak bookcases, old friends. If you ever find yourself somewhere like that, but feel there’s something missing, a glass of Scottish Style Heavy is that thing. Just ask the butler to fetch one.
This beer is strong and full bodied with a complex mix of toffee, caramel, vanilla and a hint of peat.
Make a hearty meal that can stand up to the ale – this is not a snacking beer. Think of game, roast beef, ham, smoked poultry, strong cheese or a stout haggis. (And that’s just for breakfast.)
