Just west of Mill Street's Ottawa Brewpub is an area locals refer to ass Tunney's Pasture, named after an Irish cattle farmer who rented it in the 19th centure. Tunney's Porter is a tip of the hat to the Irish immigrants who farmed the Ottawa Valley in the 1800's and the traditional Brown Porters they lovingly brought with them.
