This is Wild Rose's take on the classic German Oktoberfest style beer. This amber lager has been cold aged for 6 weeks to ensure ultimate smooth finish. The emphasis is squarely on the malt for this beer. In addition to Pilsner, Pale, Vienna and Munich malts they’ve added some Beechwood smoked malt; this lends a pleasant mild smoky flavour and aroma to the beer.

Wild Rose has tried to stay true to the original Oktoberfest beers noted for their full bodied, smooth character. These lager beers should have a nice bready/caramel malt character but still finish dry and be easy to drink. By incorporating the Northern German technique of using smoked malt, they’ve added a layer of complexity to the beer.
