About Brauerei C. & A. Veltins

In 1824 a small brewery in Grevenstein began to brew beer according to the German Purity Law. Over 190 years later, one of the most modern private breweries in Europe presents itself: the brewery C. & A. Veltins.

The foundation of this unique success story of the company, which has been run by the Veltins family for five generations, is investment power, entrepreneurial vision and a corporate culture that is characterized by team spirit and the highest quality standards. So until now, the premium beer is made exclusively from the highest quality ingredients - malt, hops, yeast and purest spring water - strictly according to the Purity Law of 1516 brewed. The water that springs in the mountains around Grevenstein is exceptionally soft. This is an essential reason for Veltins, since 1926, to brew exclusively beer according to the Pilsener brewing method: Veltins Premium Pilsener.

However, the success story started much earlier. In 1852, the founding father, Clemens Veltins, took over a small farming brewery in Grevenstein in Upper Sauerland, where, with 150 hectoliters of beer a year, he also supplied many restaurants in the area in addition to his own guests. Since 1994, Susanne Veltins has been the fifth generation to continue the successful history of the brewery C. & A. Veltins.
