From the region - for the region

When choosing the raw materials for the Göller beer specialties, we attach great importance to regionality. For example, brewing barley and wheat are sold in the direct vicinity of Zeil a. Main grown for us by local farmers and then processed into malt in Bamberg and Schweinfurt.

Multiple awards

Beer specialties from the "Alte Freyung" have already won numerous awards: the European Beerstar, the Wold Beer Award, Meininger's International Craftbeer Award or the DLG award. But just test it yourself!

Sustainable and resource-saving management

An energy-saving gentle cooking system in the brewhouse, the use of photovoltaics and solar thermal energy, as well as the installation of a nitrogen recovery system to save CO2 are part of the environmentally friendly measures that are implemented every day in the Göller brewery. In 2015, we were the only company to receive the Mainfranken region's sustainability award in the “11-50 employees” category and we are the only brewery in Lower Franconia to have been awarded the “Quality Association of Environmentally Conscious Companies” certificate.

Brewing competence in family tradition

The brewery has been family-owned since 1908. Franz-Josef Göller and his wife Eva run the company in the third generation and are in the process of handing it over to their three sons Fritz, Max and Felix. The family brews their beer specialties according to all the rules of the guild, with great personal commitment and passion. Brewing and malting master Franz-Josef Göller was Germany's best brewer in 1976. In 2013, son Felix repeated this success.

As a master brewer, the eldest son Fritz has already taken on responsibility for production. Together with the youngest brother Felix, 2013 national winner in the brewing and malting trade and beverage manager, Fritz heads the technical department. Middle brother Max Göller is a brewing engineer and beverage business economist, he has taken over the commercial area as well as the management of sales and distribution.
