About Bulwark Ciders
Owner operated and based in the heart of Nova Scotia, our local team is directly involved with the development and success of Bulwark Cider, Nova Scotia. Made up of specialists from all walks of life, we’re dedicated to a common unifying goal: authentic, natural, delicious cider.
Our Nova Scotia winery is run by our founder Germain Bergeron assisted by a great supporting cast.
Germain wears several hats but nowadays tends to focus more on the strategic, planning and business development side of the business. Alexandra Boivin, a native from Quebec, is our expert winemaker with an affinity for balanced, complex blends. She is the driving force behind Bulwark’s delicious craft ciders. Our operations manager Robert Russell, who grew up in the New Ross area, keeps the place running smoothly and with his team makes sure that every Bulwark bottle and keg is filled to perfection. Our sales and marketing manager Andrew Cooper, an Ontario native, with our brand ambassador, Annapolis Valley born Ashley Walsh, together handle the local sales and ensure every account is well looked after. Finally, our administration manager Pamela Connell, also from Annapolis Valley, and our office administrator Donna Benoit, born and raised in New Ross, take care of all the pesky behind-the-scenes tasks of the winery and beyond.
Together, the Bulwark team makes sure that wherever you are, you can enjoy a well-crafted delicious cider.
Our apples are homegrown in the Annapolis Valley, and you can find our cider house and lush winery in New Ross, Nova Scotia.
