About Commonhouse Aleworks
The tale of Commonhouse Aleworks revolves around several narratives that when woven together paint the story of history, comradery, community, and the pursuit of a dream. Commonhouse found its origins in the friendship between Hank Hanna and Pearce Fleming and through the love of craft beers, which were often shared in the fabled Back Porch Beer sessions.
We celebrate the storied history of beer as a central component of American communities as well as the foundation for all civilization. Our business isn’t just beer, however. It’s people. It’s the relationships. It’s being a part of something greater than one’s self. It’s about helping your fellow man and community by giving something back. It’s a powerful tool to leave a lasting positive impact on the world.
People are, by nature, social creatures who long for exploration, romance, artistic expression, imagination, and innovation to create a vibrant civilization. The mission of Commonhouse Aleworks is to foster these human drives through social lubrication and to produce a product that people desire to congregate around. Our desire is for people to gather together, enjoy life, be passionate, share a laugh and make an impact.
Thank you for being a part of the Commonhouse Story.
