Welcome! The farm of Oppigårds has been in our family’s possession since year 1735. The idea of brewing beer began to sprout in the 1980’s. We built the brewery on the farm, in a pasture. Now we have been running for 16 years! The first year we brewed 8,000 liters of beer and sold it locally. Now we’re up to over two million liters, filled in bottles, cans and kegs and sold all over Sweden and some in Europe. In the 1980’s pale lager with very little hops was about the only kind of beer to be found in Sweden. There were fewer than ten breweries, today there are 400. Swedish beer culture is thriving. The farm where our family-owned brewery is located has been in our family for almost 300 years and we intend to keep it that way for many more to come. We have a wide range of beers that are in production all year round. At the moment fourteen to be exact. We also brew three seasonals. We bottle our beer on either 330 ml or 500 ml. We also can some of our beers on 330 ml cans.
Throughout the years we have won numerous awards, especially at the largest beer festivals in Sweden. The most recent ones being four medals at Stockholm Beer and Whisky festival. One was gold in the category Swedish beer champion and one bronze in the same category. The category was judged by high profile international beer judges. Altogether we have won over 60 medals/awards in the past 10 years, most of them being Gold and some Silver and Bronze.
