Twin City Brewing Company

Nestled in the Heart of Vancouver Island, The Alberni Valley was known for many years solely for its forestry and paper mill industries. These days the area is reinventing itself and finding new purpose in tourism, recreation, and a new wave of brave entrepreneurs. Twin City Brewing is an initiative to produce fresh, locally crafted ales for the surrounding community and beyond.

The name itself is throwback to the era leading up to 1967 when the Alberni Valley was made of two distinct municipalities, Alberni and Port Alberni. This was a time when the forestry and pulp mill industries were booming, and product quality was king. Eventually the two communities joined together as one. We want to incorporate that same attention to product quality and sense of community today. Just a small reminder that you have to know where you’ve been to know where you’re going.
