About Yellowhammer Brewing
Yellowhammer Brewing opened in West Huntsville in 2010 by four guys who wanted to bring good, traditional beer to Alabama. The brewery has grown rapidly in recent years and in December of 2015 we made a big move from a warehouse to a new facility at Campus 805 -- on the site of the old Stone Middle School. Our brewery has since doubled in size after the completion of a recent expansion which brought, not only more brewing space and production but an event space Bierhall and Biergarten, as well as room for our new Distillery.
Despite all the recent growth, we are still focused on, and dedicated to, creating premium ales and lagers, drawing on Belgian and German brewing traditions with a Southern interpretation. To make this possible, our Head Brewer seeks out the highest quality ingredients, whether importing candy syrup from Belgium or kaffir lime leaves from California. Yellowhammer beers can be found in many fine restaurants, taverns, groceries and craft beer stores across both Alabama and Tennessee.
Our flagship beers are available in six-packs throughout the year. They are: Yellowhammer Belgian White, Rebellion Red Lager, Midnight Special Black Lager, Hops Fell Hop Lager, and Cheatin' Heart IPA. Our seasonal beers are offered in either 22 oz. bomber bottles or rotating four packs. Head brewer Keith Yager was named Brewmaster of the Year in 2016 by a panel of BJCP certified judges at the inaugural Alabama State Beer Championship.
Yellowhammer Brewing is a proud member of the Alabama Brewers Guild and supporter of Free The Hops.
