Brewery and the Beast returns to Calgary for its fourth year, albeit in a new location. Previously held at Pumphouse Park, it has moved to the more expansive Fort Calgary site in the East Village. Sponsored mainly by the Phillips Brewing Company of Victoria B.C., this event began on the west coast in 2013 to showcase local farmers and food producers. Look for over 30 top restaurants to be on hand in Calgary, serving up fare featuring locally sourced ingredients, as well as providing information on the farms, and where you can purchase their products.

In addition to an almost endless array of food (read: mountains of meat), there is a variety of Phillips beer served from their travelling 35 tap “Gypsy Wagon”, plus cider, wine and even non-alcoholic beverages to consume. It wouldn’t be a festival without entertainment, and live music will be featured all day.  The event is also a supporter of multiple local and national industry based charities, foundations, and scholarships including the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). Also note, this event has sold out every year it has been held in Calgary, so don’t delay in purchasing your tickets.
