The first edition of the Gatineau Beerfest was held at Leamy Lake in summer 2011, and attracted some 11,000 beer lovers eager to discover what local and regional microbreweries had to offer. A few years later, the Beerfest welcomed more than 35,000 festivalgoers to the Canadian Museum of History. The event is now held twice a year, in summer and in winter.
In a nutshell, the Gatineau Beerfest is the perfect opportunity to discover the latest brewing trends and developments in Quebec and across Canada. With more than two dozen exhibitors, more than 350 craft beers, and a dozen food trucks and vendors offering local products and flavours, the Gatineau Beerfest stands out for its family-friendly atmosphere. Young and old alike are invited to enjoy a lively program of entertainment, presentations, various activities, and live music.
