A Free Guided Walking Tour Of Inglewood’s Brewing History: 127 Years in Five Blocks and Four Breweries

For YYC Beer Week, why not take a 4.5 hour trip through Inglewood, called Brewery Flats, the former home of Calgary's original brewery. Join in as we go through 127 years of Calgary’s brewing history, starting at the old Calgary Brewery and Malting Company (now shuttered), and then working our way west past the future of brewery tourism until we reach High Line Brewing. After a one hour stay and tasting there, we will head to Revival Brewcade. Known for its beer and décor of arcade games, after a one hour stay there, we will move on to Ol’ Beautiful Brewing Co. for an hour then cross the parking lot to finish at Cold Garden Beverage Co.

Led by beer writer and educator David Nuttall, you’ll be informed of the history of brewing in Calgary and a bit about each brewery we visit. At one brewery, we will get a tour of the equipment and learn how the beer is made. Once the tour is over, you are free to stay at the brewery or move on to others.

The tour is free, but we welcome any donations to the charities that are involved with YYC Beer Week. People are responsible for their own food and beer. Must be 18 years or older to attend.
