Our Think & Drink events are hosted conversations at pubs and tasting rooms on provocative topics and new ideas.
Experts, artists, and activists from a variety of disciplines participate in a moderated discussion, with a strong emphasis on audience participation. Past events tackled topics from consumerism to political polarization, geoengineering, race in the Pacific Northwest, and many more, and sparked lively conversation about morality, religion, history, and politics.
This month they address the Divided Library. Though seldom mentioned as a factor in our increasingly divided country, the stories we tell about one another matter. Stories are the glue that hold a culture together—but they can also act as a wedge to drive cultures apart. Perhaps the solution to our polarized moment resides in the stories we hear and tell about.
