Visit Breweries in the Uptown District of Oakland

Uptown has been touted as the arts and entertainment district and is one of the hottest neighborhoods in Oakland. It also happens to have great beer! On this unique walking tour experience, you will journey to different breweries, beer bars and a beer garden. Stops will made along the way to visit historic landmarks and listen to tales about ales and a shining town history. It's time to discover all the greatness Uptown has to offer and celebrate with other beer-minded folks.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• You will be greeted by your friendly guide at the historic Paramount Theater. After making sure everyone is present and has proper ID, you will learn about some of the people and events that helped establish this vibrant town. As you make your journey, be sure to take pictures of the many colorful murals that enhance the city.

• It's time for a delicious pint of a local craft beer in a hidden beer garden where you may enjoy each other's company, play some ping pong or just take in the scenery. Your guide is happy to share with you beer knowledge so you may know how it's brewed, and about the quality ingredients and craftsmanship that goes into every craft beer.

• The beer crawl continues with a walk through Oakland's art park and the historic Fox Theater, an architectural wonder. Also learn more about Oakland's deep beer history and the city's roots in the cannabis industry as we pass Oaksterdam University.

• Next stop at a popular local beer bar and on premise brewery. Enjoy a beer flight with your choices from a large selection of beers crafted locally or from the brewery itself. There are no other brew on premise establishments in the Bay Area and that makes this spot extra special. If you have ever thought about homebrewing, this brewery is a great place to one day return and get your hands hoppy.

• Continue on to the last brewery, but not before appreciating the abundance of art deco and other newly restored architectural styles that make Oakland's Uptown so majestic. Inside you will sip on a flight of beers unlike any other in the city.

• The tour will end at the lovely fountain at Latham Square Plaza. If interested, your guide is happy to suggest other fun places in the area to visit.

All participants must be at least 21 years old. ID's are required. Advanced reservations are required.
